She started as an intern at TV Globo in the early 80s. A year later she became an assistant and shortly after costume designer. Sonia Soares did several soap operas, comedy programs, series, shows, theater, films and advertising. She has left TV Globo in 2021 and worked at Netflix, HBO, Amazon, Canal Viva.
