Alfredo Manevy is a professor at UFSC and a researcher in cultural policies. He served as Executive Secretary at the Ministry of Culture (MinC) during the Lula administration (2008–2010) and coordinated the implementation of Spcine, which is linked to the São Paulo city government, also serving as the company's president (2014–2016). A filmmaker, he directed Lupicínio Rodrigues: Confissões de um Sofredor (Lupicínio Rodrigues: Confessions of a Sufferer), a feature-length documentary that premiered at the São Paulo International Film Festival in 2022.
