Cast Preparation:

Cast preparation is a fundamental part of character development and the creation of an audiovisual work. Drawing on the case study of *Sombras*—currently in post-production—this session brings together the film’s director, Anita Barbosa, alongside Freire and Vanessa Giacomo, to share experiences and insights regarding working with actors during the preparation and filming processes. The conversation explores the methods and choices that shape the dynamic between directing, cast preparation, and acting.
