Editorial Intelligence: How to Find the Best Story Your Film Can Tell

Those who deeply know their own material tell the story better and faster. Felipe Lacerda has been working with this conviction for almost 40 years. An award-winning editor of more than 70 feature films, a consultant for international series and films, and a member of the Oscars Executive Committee, he noted down the obstacles that each film presented. He knew these were the problems of every storyteller. And he decided to solve them, one by one.

In this Masterclass, Felipe opens up the editing suite of films by Walter Salles, Nadine Labaki, João Moreira Salles, José Padilha, Petra Costa, and Carlos Saldanha, among others, and shows the problems and the solutions he provided for the success of the films.
