João Macedo is a producer and partner at Biônica Filmes, focusing on the development, financing, co-production, and distribution of the company's projects. He was the executive producer of Toll (2023, dir. Carolina Markowicz), which premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival and was selected for over 60 international festivals, including San Sebastián and SXSW. He also produced seven short films, with selections at major festivals such as Bogoshorts, EnergaCAMERIMAGE, and the Festival do Rio.
